Call for Submissions: 11th Annual Stephen A. DiBiase Poetry Contest

Submissions open on November 15, 2025, with a deadline at 11:59 pm EST on January 15, 2026.

$500 for first place, $150 for second place, $75 for third place.  Prize money is provided through a grant from the Hudson Valley Writers Guild.

The prize-winning and final poems will be listed and published on the contest website in April 2026.   By submitting you give your consent for publication.  Finalists will be informed of their selection prior to the final judging, which takes place in February.  We will also try to notify you as soon as possible if your poem is not selected.  (Hint: if you submit early, you get notified quicker.)

There are no entry fees.  You can only submit one poem.  The poem must be in English.  Do not put your name on the poem.  Anyone can submit.  No subject or length restrictions.  Published poems are accepted.
